Kahuk publishes information about content management systems, migration and editorial workflow. This page explains what that information is, and what it is not.
General
Everything on this site is published for general information. We work to get it right, we cite the sources we used, and we correct what we get wrong, but we cannot guarantee that every statement is accurate, complete or current at the moment you read it. Use your own judgement, and where the stakes are real, get advice from someone who can see your specific situation.
No professional relationship
Reading this site does not create a professional relationship of any kind between you and Kahuk. We do not know your circumstances, and nothing here is tailored to them.
Migrations and data loss
Anything on this site that touches a migration, a database or a bulk change carries a real risk of losing content. Take a full backup and confirm you can restore it before you begin. A backup nobody has tested is a belief about a file, not a backup.
Platform changes
CMS platforms, plugins and hosting environments change frequently. Procedures described here can go out of date without notice. Check the vendor's own current documentation before relying on a step.
External links
We link to other sites when they are the better source, usually because they are the primary authority on a point. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what happens after you leave here.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, Kahuk is not liable for loss or damage arising from action taken, or not taken, on the basis of anything published here. That is the standard clause every publisher carries, and it exists because we genuinely cannot foresee how a general article will meet a specific situation.
Getting it wrong
We would rather be corrected than be wrong. If something here is inaccurate, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did. Our approach to that is set out in the Editorial Policy.
